A bunch of Chinese apps were taken down last year and this year as well garena free fire and 54 more apps are banned in India who were already taken down last year. Here is the complete list.
According to the recent reports a total number of 54 apps are banned by the Indian government because they were found to be from a Chinese origin.
These apps were produced by Chinese tech giants such as Netease, Tencent, etc. and was claimed to be a clone of the apps taken down last year.
Last year almost 224 apps were taken down including popular ones like TikTok, Shareit, WeChat, Helo, Likee, UC News, Bigo Live, UC Browser, ES File Explorer and Mi Community.
“The typical modus operandi of these Chinese Apps is to show that they operate from different countries like US, India or Singapore,” Venus Dhuria, cofounder of mobile internet technology company AppyHigh told ET.

How was it proved?
It was also informed that several employees working in the old banned apps are found to run these new banned apps which says that they belong to other countries like Singapore, Australia, etc..
The clones were found to be operated by the famous bytedance (operator of tiktok, helo, etc.).Snack Video was one such that was launched by Tencent-backed Kuaishou, similar to Kwai.
