P.M. Modi has organised a high-chair meeting with Russian President Valdamir Putin to discuss about the citizens of India who are stuck in Ukraine. Know the full detail about the meeting from here:

On March 2nd, the Wednesday night P.M. Modi held the 5th high-class meeting with Russian President Valdamir Putin. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, his Cabinet colleague Piyush Goyal and senior officials attended the meeting.

According to sources the the point of discussion in this meeting was reviewing the Ukrainian cities, mainly kharkiv as a number of Indian students are struck there.

Since past few days it was reported that the Russian armies are all set to attack on the kyiv and kharkiv cities of Ukraine.

But still a huge no. of Indian, including students are still struck there. Last day it was reported that two students have lost their life due to war-torn condition of Ukraine.

Operation Ganga Mission:

P.M. Modi told the Valdamir Putin about the operation Ganga Mission whose main aim is to safely evacuate the Indians from Ukraine.

P.M. Modi also declared that they are handling this situation personally as it’s the government’s priority to bring back the Indian citizens safely to their mother land.

Earlier in the day, the Indian embassy in Ukraine asked all Indian nationals to leave Kharkiv immediately to safe zones or further westwards.

The situation in the Ukraine is getting worse these days. Many people are being killed and the buildings and infrastructure are being destroyed. The military operation of Russia is on its seventh day.

All these deeply hurting situations has made a great impact on the families of the students who are stranded there, but the families are said to take a sigh of relief as their children will come back soon.

The external affairs ministry has assured that every Indian citizen will be brought back from Ukraine.

It said that around 17,000 Indian nationals have left Ukraine through its different borders since the Indian Embassy in Ukraine issued advisories.

Modi has held a series of meetings since Sunday to spearhead India’s efforts to safely bring back its nationals, asserting that this is his government’s top priority.
